Aswan Nature

Aswan is the southern part of Egypt situated in the Nile Valley adjusting Lake Nasser in the south. It has different habitats making it a wonderful place for birding. In winter thousands of birds from Europe and even Siberia spend the winter here, especially between mid- October and the end of December. When the Nile is running low, waders, ducks and other waterfowl usually find enough food on the mudflats and plenty of resting places on the sandbanks.
